Behind the table (2022)
Presented by the Florida State University School of Dance in partial fulfillment for the Master of Fine Arts degree, Calypso Haddad's behind the table confront the lineage of American musical theatre dance and questions the narrative of its predominately white, male-dominated history. This work examines who receives credit for the choreography of a Broadway show and how performer's embodied culture is both appropriate and dismissed the discretion of the creative team. With original musical by Jacob Fjeldheim, behind the table utilizes stereotypical and historical musical theatre dance styles with cast collaboration to recreate and emphasize the frustration of being "just another replaceable body" in a musical theatre show.

Bad Habits (2022)
bad habits explores the "quarantined ballerina" through the lens of the dancers who attempted to continue training from home. This deconstructed contemporary ballet piece combines the elements of an advanced class pointe class with jazz funk and social dance movements to create an effortlessly enjoyable experience that relatable to any pandemic performer. Set to vibrant electronic rhythms of Madame Gandhi's hit song "Bad Habits", this piece humorously reveals the inner thoughts, survival tactics, and routines of a dancer with a live Zoom. Choreographed for the stage and computer, audiences can choose to watch either or both versions of the dance simultaneously.

treehouse (2020)
This collaborative dance theatre piece explores the true story of punk house occupied by a group of friends from 2012-2013. Using contemporary movement combined with mosh dance and a highly narrative arc, Treehouse immerses the audience in a grungy world and that is at the same time joyous and full of pain. We see the dynamic of the friend group and each unique pairing through a cast of characters that interact with effortless chemistry and extreme individuality. Each performer was tasked with embodying a real person choreography was created around actual events, friendships, celebrations and fights. Treehouse explores what it's like to be a 20-something as they navigate sex, jealously, drug use, secrets, art, getting together, and eventually splitting up.

The True Story of the Three Little Pigs (2019)
Directed by professor Jessica West, The True Story of the Three Little Pigs was presented by the Florida State University School of Theatre in the fall of their 2019-2020 season. Choreography was made for large dance numbers including, "Piggy World", "Cheeseburgers Ain't Cute" "The Pointy, Pointy Maneuver of Blame-osity" and two different closing numbers of "Hurrah! Hooray!" that were performed depending if the audience voted guilty or not guilty! Recalling on 1950's and 60's social dances such as The Madison, The Twist, and a personal favorite...The Cha-Cha Calypso...the choreography created for this over-the-top fun musical embraced the upbeat feeling of this unique musical.
